IBC with a Double Wall
The VARIBOX FC 1000 litre is an IBC with a double wall. This means that this IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) has both an inside container and an outside container. Hence the name FC, which stands for Full Containment. The unique design of the VARIBOX FC 1000 litre, which is also available in an 800 IBC variant, consists of four different parts. First of all the pallet, which is always black in colour and offers the possibility of being recycled, in this pallet the outside container is placed. The inner container is then placed in this outer container after this construction is closed with a specially designed cap. This unique construction of our double-walled IBCs ensures that you and your colleagues can work safely with acids and alkalis.

But the double-walled IBCs from VARIBOX have more advantages. A double-walled IBC is the symbol of safety. A double-walled IBC ensures that you and your colleagues can safely transport and store the container without the risk of the chemical escaping from the container. This is because the container can only be emptied via an extractor tube that has to be mounted in the cap and inner container. At VARIBOX we call this avoiding chemical contact. In addition, the outer container and the pallet have an integrated spill containment with a capacity of 110% (DIBt Approved). This ensures that if any leakage occurs on the inside container, safety is guaranteed because no chemical product can escape.
Thanks to this clever design, the double-walled IBC also offers practical benefits in daily use. Because the outer container functions as a second barrier, there’s no need for separate spill pallets or additional containment measures—saving both space and handling time. This makes the VARIBOX particularly suitable for workplaces with strict safety protocols or limited storage capacity. Moreover, the robust outer shell protects the inner container against impacts during transport or internal logistics, significantly reducing the risk of damage. The double-walled VARIBOX is available in an EPDM or Viton version depending on the chemicals that will be packed in the container. This will be fully matched to the Safeline system. But of course, the VARIBOX FC is also applicable for other extractor tubes. The full containment IBCs are available in many different colors as blue, dark blue, yellow, orange, green, and natural to match your product coding. Next to that, to be 100% safe the containers are equipped with automatic venting in terms of a pressure relief vent or combi-vent.
