Comply with legal requirements with the VARIBOX
To comply with legal requirements for storing alkaline or acid-based cleaning agents, the “Leitfaden für die Praxis” is used in Switzerland. This guide describes in detail the legally required storage of hazardous substances, which must be stored in approved collection trays that meet certain requirements. These trays must be made of media-resistant material, have a usable volume at least as large as the largest container, and be leakproof. The VARIBOX meets all of these requirements and is approved by UN/ADR and DIBt.
The Railway Cleaning Systems faced a challenge in their workshop in BLS Böningen, where space was limited. They needed a compact solution, which they found in the VARIBOX. In the past, single-walled standard IBCs were used, requiring structural modifications to meet legal requirements. The VARIBOX eliminated the need for costly modifications.

According to Marc Uhr from Railway Cleaning Systems, the VARIBOX solves even more safety-related issues. Equipped with a closed dispensing system, Safeline Performance, employees are better protected from exposure to chemicals, reducing the risk of contact with hazardous substances to a minimum. Other advantages of the VARIBOX over conventional IBCs include ergonomic design, a low working height, and protection from spray and rainwater.

The double-walled VARIBOX FC is available in an EPDM or Viton version depending on the chemicals that will be packed in the container. This will be fully matched to the Safeline system. But of course, the VARIBOX FC is also applicable for other extractor tubes. The full containment IBCs are available in many different colors as blue, dark blue, yellow, orange, green, and natural to match your product coding. Next to that, to be 100% safe the containers are equipped with automatic venting in terms of a pressure relief vent or combi-vent.
